Christopher Teichler
R. Christopher Teichler (born May 31, 1977 ) is an American composer and music teacher.
Teichler studied composition at Wheaton College Conservatory of Music and Northwestern University . He has received awards from Wheaton College and the Elmhurst Jazz Festival and has been a participant in the National Band Association's Young Composer Mentor Project with Mark Camphouse , Julie Giroux and James Curnow . He teaches composition, conducting, ear training, trumpet and piano at Wheaton College , Trinity International University , Northwestern University and DePaul University . At Trinity University, he leads the Trinity Community Philharmonic Orchestra and founded a jazz band. He also leads the Round Lake Area Community Band and is music director of the West Suburban Community Church in Elmhurst.
