The Christ Church was built in 1767 in the Prussian district.

At the beginning of the 20th century, the appearance of Stützerbach changed, because the building of the railway line meant that the dilapidated church could and had to be demolished and rebuilt at its current location. The foundation stone was laid on July 22, 1900 . It was inaugurated on August 18, 1901. That is also the day of the fair .

The parishes only officially unified in 1990 and have belonged to the ecclesiastical province of Saxony ever since . Since then, the Christ Church has only been used rarely. It is only financed from donations.
