Chrome Shift was a Danish progressive metal band from Aabenraa that was formed in 1999 and split up in 2008.

history

The band was formed in January 1999 by guitarist Otto Schütt and bassist Jens Christian Nielsen, who had previously played in other bands. A short time later, pianist Jakob Paulsen and drummer Poul Terkildsen joined the cast. In this line-up they played together for about a year without a singer, until Rasmus Bak finally filled this post. In February 2000 the band recorded their first demo in the Danish Aabenraa Studios together with producer Jacob Hansen .

In 2001 the band returned to this studio with Jacob Nasen to record their debut album, Ripples in Time . Some audio files were sent to Intromental Management in Copenhagen , whereby the group reached a management contract. A short time later the band got a contract with DVS Records , about which the band released their album in March 2003. In 2008 the band broke up again.

style

The band plays classic progressive metal and can be compared to bands like Everon and Threshold .
