The superfamily Chrysidoidea belongs to the order of the hymenoptera . Together with the apoidea and the vespoidea they form the partial order of the voice (aculeata). They are considered the most primitive group within the voices. The superfamily includes about 6,000 parasitic and kleptoparasitic species, the length of which is usually around seven millimeters, and very few species are over 15 millimeters long.
Systematics
The superfamily includes seven families. The flat wasps, golden wasps and cicada wasps comprise the majority of the species. The relationships between the families are shown in the following cladogram :
