The Chumrogi Bridge ( English Vanj Bridge ) is a road bridge over the Punj between Afghanistan and Tajikistan near Chumrogi. It connects the Wantsch district ( English Vanj ) of the Tajik province of Berg-Badachschan and the Darvaz district of the Afghan province of Badachschan . The bridge is about 3 km above the confluence of the Wantsch . It should improve the development of the previously inaccessible north of Badachschan.

The 216 m long suspension bridge with a 135 m span and 3.5 m width can be used by pedestrians and vehicles weighing up to 30 t.

It was the fourth of five bridges over the Punj to date, the construction of which was initiated and financed by the Aga Khan Development Network . It was opened on July 6, 2004 by Tajikistan's President Emomalij Rahmon and high-ranking representatives from both countries and the AKDN.

The bridge project, which cost US $ 2.6 million, also includes a small market on the Tajik side built with funds from KfW , open every Saturday, to which Afghan traders have access without a visa and which supplies the population on both sides Sides of the river to be improved.
