Churicheni Island (English; Bulgarian остров Чуричени ostrow Tschuritscheni ) is a 230 m long, 140 m wide and non-iced island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . As one of the Onogur Islands , it is 1.78 km north-northeast of Misnomer Point and 0.19 km west of Shipot Point around 100 m off the north-west coast of Robert Island .
British scientists mapped it in 1968, Bulgarian in 2009. The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2013 after the village of Churicheni in southwestern Bulgaria .
