Ciarán McMenamin

Ciarán McMenamin (born October 1, 1975 in Enniskillen , County Fermanagh , Northern Ireland ) is an Irish actor currently living in south London. He was best known for the role of Matt Anderson in the television series Primeval - Return of the Primeval Monsters .

Life

He studied at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow . He then starred in several BBC and ITV series, including as Cedric Crackenthorpe in an episode of Agatha Christie's Marple and in the Channel 4 comedy series The Young Person's Guide To Becoming A Rock Star . He also had a role as a doctor in the 2005 series The Golden Hour . He had his first leading role in a film in 2001 in To End All Wars . In 2008 he played Alexander Pearce in the award-winning film The Last Confession of Alexander Pearce. He then got the role of Matt Anderson in the television series Primeval - Return of the Primeval Monsters , where he replaced the leading actors Nick Cutter ( Douglas Henshall ) and Danny Quinn ( Jason Flemyng ).

He won the Kenneth Branagh Renaissance Award in 1997 and the RSAMD Gold Medal (1998).
