Cinca Medio is a comarca ( administrative unit ) in the autonomous region of Aragon in Spain . It is located in the southeast of the province of Huesca on the central reaches of the Cinca River . The comarca has an area of ​​576.6 km² 24,145 inhabitants and with 42 inhabitants per km² one of the highest population densities among the comarcas of the sparsely populated Aragon. The capital is Monzón , the largest of the nine associated municipalities (Municipios).

Cinca Medio borders the Monegros in the west, Somontano de Barbastro in the northwest , La Litera in the east and Bajo Cinca in the south . In addition to Monzón, the comarca includes the municipalities of Albalate de Cinca , Alcolea de Cinca , Alfántega , Almunia de San Juan , Binaced , Fonz , Pueyo de Santa Cruz and San Miguel del Cinca .

The main economic sectors for the inhabitants of the comarca are agriculture and industry in Monzón.
