The Cinecittà Bridge is a bridge in Nuremberg built in 1996 and extensively restored in 2016 . It crosses the Pegnitz and connects the island of Schütt with the Lorenz city side at the height of the cinema complex Cinecittà . In its place was the Katharinensteg, at that time also called Schleifersteg, not to be confused with the Schleifersteg on the flea market island. In 2015, a large number of so-called love locks had to be removed from the bridge due to the security of the railing . This connection between the then large island of Schütt and the Lorenzer Pegnitzufer was destroyed by the spring flood in 1595, but was then rebuilt.
