City Triathlon Cup Germany
The City Triathlon Cup Germany (CTC) was a series ranking for age group athletes of the City Triathlon Heilbronn (since 2015 Challenge Heilbronn ) and the Frankfurt City Triathlon . The cup was launched in 2013. The sporty start was on June 23, 2013 in Heilbronn. The first winners were announced on August 4, 2013 in Frankfurt am Main .
Scoring mode
The City Triathlon Cup Germany honored the most versatile athlete. Every triathlete who successfully participated in the City Triathlon Heilbronn on the middle distance and in the Frankfurt City Triathlon on the Olympic distance became part of the series. The target times at both events were added.
They run
Both the City Triathlon Heilbronn and the Frankfurt City Triathlon were held for the first time in 2010. Both competitions saw themselves as a mass sports event. It was characteristic of both races that parts of the tracks and the finish line were in the middle of the city center.
Goal of the series
- Focus: The series focused on the age group athletes. These made up the majority of the starting field at both events and should therefore be even more of a focus.
- Versatility: The City Triathlon Cup Germany presented a special challenge to the athletes: They had to prove themselves both in the Olympic distance and in the middle distance.
