Frankfurt City Triathlon
The Frankfurt-City-Triathlon (FCT) is since 2010 annually on the first weekend of August in Frankfurt held Triathlon - sporting event .

In 2010 the Frankfurt City Triathlon took place for the first time. 1500 athletes took part in the first edition and in 2012 there were already 1800 athletes who jumped into the water at Langener Waldsee .
The club championships of Eintracht Frankfurt and the city championships have also been held since 2011 . All athletes who live in the postcode area of the city of Frankfurt automatically take part in the city championships.
In 2012 the 2nd Bundesliga as well as the 1st and 2nd Hessenliga were played here. The event is part of the City Triathlon Cup Germany . In 2014, a kids run took place for the first time as part of the event.
In August 2016, after 2:09:12 h , Natascha Schmitt won her “home race” on the Olympic distance with a new course record for the fourth time. The men's course record has been held by Nils Frommhold since 2012 with 1:52:07 h.
Distances
The Olympic distance (1.5 km swimming, 40 km cycling and 10 km running) and, since 2014, the sprint distance as well as an everyone's distance are offered.
In 2017, a middle distance was added for the first time and the athletes now have four different distances to choose from:
- Middle distance - individual and relay: 2/80/20 km
- Olympic distance - individual and relay: 1.5 / 40/10 km
- Sprint distance - individual and relay: 0.75 / 28/5 km
- Everyone distance - individual and relay: 0.4 / 12/5 km
At the last event in August 2019, around 2,400 athletes competed in the four distances.
Awards
The Frankfurt City Triathlon was able to win the following awards given by Triathlon magazine :
- Triathlon Awards 2014: 5th place in the short distance race of the year
- Triathlon Awards 2015: 3rd place in the short distance race of the year
- Triathlon Awards 2016: 3rd place in the short distance race of the year
- Triathlon Awards 2017: 2nd place in the short distance race of the year, 2nd place in the middle distance race of the year
