Renate Forstner (born March 5, 1977 ) is a German triathlete and cross-country skier . She is multiple German champion in the winter triathlon (2012, 2013 and 2014).

Career

In the triathlon, Renate Forstner mainly starts in competitions over the Olympic distance (1.5 km swimming, 40 km cycling and 10 km running). She won the Bavarian Triathlon Championship in 2001 and starts today for the BaderMainzl Tri-Team of TSV 1860 Rosenheim .

In 2010 she won the Krems Triathlon over the Olympic distance for the third time in a row .

In cross-country skiing, she takes part in ski marathon races. In February 2018 she was ninth in the Gsieser-Tal-Lauf and in March 2018 first in the Ganghoferlauf in Leutasch over 44 km classic.

German champion winter triathlon 2012, 2013 and 2014

In February 2014 she won her third title in a row at the German Championship Winter Triathlon in Oberstaufen.

In 2016 she was ninth at the World Championships Winter Triathlon in Zeltweg, Austria.

In June 2017 she won the Bavarian age group championship on the Olympic distance at the triathlon in Erding and in July the then 40-year-old won the Alpine Triathlon in Schliersee for the second time after 2014.
