The Kalterer See Triathlon is an annual triathlon sporting event in May in Italy near Kaltern am Kalterer See .

Since 1989, the Kalterer See Triathlon has been held annually in May by the Kalterer Sportverein in South Tyrol on Lake Caldaro . In this competition over the Olympic distance, the participating athletes have to complete 1.5 km swimming, 40.5 km cycling and 10 km running.

In 1997 this competition was the first of the four “Best of the Alps” series - together with the race in Spiez, the Allgäu Triathlon and the Trans Vorarlberg Triathlon . In 2011 the distances were successfully mastered by 452 men and 60 women. This competition is rated as an ETU Prestige Triathlon by the European Triathlon Union and in May 2012 the competition was held for the 24th time. The Italian Giulio Molinari won here three times in a row from 2013 to 2015.

The 31st event took place on May 11, 2019.
