Monika Feuersinger (born April 19, 1965 in Ebbs ) is a former Austrian triathlete and duathlete . She is eight-time national champion (1991-2006).
Career
State champion duathlon 1992
In 1991 and again in 1993, the Tyrolean Feuersinger Austrian triathlon state champion on the short distance. In 1992, 1994 and again in 1995 she won the title of national champion in the duathlon short distance three times. In 1994 she was the best European in Zofingen and came third at the world championships on the long distance duathlon.
In 1995 she also won the title in the triathlon middle distance. After the birth of her daughter Therese in 1998, she took a break.
State champion triathlon long distance 2006
At the Austria Triathlon, Monika Feuersinger set a new course record in 2006 with her winning time of 09:28:47 hours, which lasted until 2013. With that she won her seventh national title - now also on the long distance triathlon. In 2007 Monika Feuersinger became national champion in the middle distance triathlon for the second time in Litschau.
In January 2011 she became Vice State Champion Winter Triathlon and in May in Zeltweg she was also on the Duathlon short distance. It has not appeared internationally since 2011.
Monika Feuersinger lives with her husband and three children in Niederndorferberg . Her daughter Therese Feuersinger (* 1998) is also active as a triathlete and starts in the ÖTRV national youth team .
