Michaela Rudolf (born May 28, 1972 in St. Pölten ) is an Austrian triathlete and multiple national champion in the long-distance triathlon (2012, 2013, 2014).

Career

Michaela Rudolf works as a teacher for sports, English and political education.

First start of the triathlon middle distance in 2007

In 2007, at the age of 35, she started her first Ironman half-distance race ( Ironman 70.3 : 70.3 miles) and she finished the race in St. Pölten as the fourth best Austrian in 21st place.

In July 2008 she was able to win the age group of 35 to 39 year olds at Ironman Austria (3.86 km swimming, 180.2 km cycling and 42.195 km running) and thus qualify for a starting place at Ironman Hawaii.

State champion triathlon long distance 2012, 2013 and 2014

She reduced her teaching activity in 2012 and has since started as a professional triathlete. In August she became the triathlon state champion on the long distance.
In 2013 she was able to successfully defend this title at the Austria Triathlon and in September 2014 she won the title for the third time in a row.

In 2015 she was third in the middle distance and in September in Podersdorf Vice State Champion in the long distance.

In September 2016 she was the winner of the AK 40-44 at the European Championship on the half-distance as part of the Challenge Walchsee-Kaiserwinkl .

At her fourth start in Hawaii, the 45-year-old was the winner of the Ironman World Championships in the age group W45-49 in October 2017.

Michaela Rudolf lives in Harland .
