Therese Feuersinger (born May 13, 1998 ) is an Austrian triathlete . She is two-time and reigning national champion on the triathlon sprint distance (2017, 2020).

Career

Therese Feuersinger has been practicing triathlon since 2008. She is the daughter of former triathlete Monika Feuersinger (* 1965; eight-time national champion).
In June 2015, Therese Feuersinger became Junior State Champion Triathlon and also Vice State Champion Elite on the sprint distance. At the Junior World Championships in Mexico in September 2016, she finished 28th.

State champion triathlon sprint distance 2017

In June 2017, the 19-year-old became national champion of the triathlon sprint distance at the Piberstein Triathlon . At the European Triathlon Championships in Kitzbühel she finished fourth among the juniors. Therese Feuersinger starts in the Wave Tri Team TS Wörgl and for the ÖTRV national team offspring . She competes for Tristar Regensburg in the German Bundesliga . and since 2017 she has also competed in the French racing series Grand Prix de Triathlon for EC Sartrouville Triathlon.

4th place Junior World Championship Triathlon 2017

In September at the Junior World Championships in Rotterdam, she narrowly missed the medal ranks and finished fourth. In October 2017, after her victory in Melilla, Spain, with the Austrian team ( Magdalena Früh , Lukas Gstaltner , Leon Pauger , Philip Pertl and Pia Totschnig ), with a total of eight podium places in ten races from April to October, the junior nation ranking ahead of Hungary and France win.

In July 2018, the then 20-year-old finished eleventh in the European championship on the triathlon sprint distance in Estonia. In the annual ranking of the ITU World Championship Series 2018 , after the last race in Australia in September, she finished 51st as the third-best Austrian.

In September 2019 she was fifth in Spain behind the German Lisa Tertsch at the U23 European Triathlon Championship. Therese Feuersinger lives in Niederndorferberg .
