Lukas Hollaus (born September 23, 1986 in Zell am See ) is an Austrian triathlete . He is a three-time reigning national champion in the Olympic distance (2011, 2019, 2020) and sprint distance (2016).

Career

Lukas Hollaus studies sports science at the University of Salzburg.

In June 2011 he became national champion in the Olympic distance (1.5 km swimming, 40 km cycling and 10 km running) on ​​Vienna's Danube Island.

Hollaus was in the "long distance" squad of the ÖTRV in the 2013 season and in 2014 he moved to the "A-squad". Lukas Hollaus was accepted into the “Hope Squad” of the Austrian Olympic Committee in October 2014 . In February 2015, with his second place in Cape Town, he improved to 44th place in the ITU world rankings.

State champion triathlon sprint distance 2016

In 2016 he started in the ÖTRV's elite squad. In June 2016 he became the triathlon state champion on the sprint distance in Burgenland at Neufelder See . In the ITU Point List 2016, he was the third-best Austrian in 107th place.

In August 2020, the 33-year-old became Austrian national champion in the short distance triathlon for the third time after 2011 and 2019.
