Stefan Hehenwarter (born October 13, 1995 ) is an Austrian triathlete and reigning national champion in the triathlon middle distance (2017).

Career

Stefan Hehenwarter has been practicing triathlon since 2009, after having been active in competitive gymnastics for eight years.

He starts for the Tri-Team Hallein.
In 2016 he became vice state champion in the triathlon middle distance (2.3 km swimming, 84 km cycling and 20 km running).

State champion triathlon middle distance 2017

In May 2017, the 21-year-old became national champion in the triathlon middle distance in Linz. In July he was runner- up at the Mostiman Triathlon over the Olympic distance (1.5 km swimming, 38 km cycling and 10 km running).

His younger sister Pia Hehenwarter is also active as a triathlete in the ÖTRV national youth team (junior vice-state champion triathlon sprint distance, 2016).
