Daniel Niederreiter
Daniel Niederreiter (born December 21, 1978 in Krögn) is an Austrian triathlete . As an amateur, he won the title of triathlon world champion (2011) and triathlon European champion (2011) in the middle distance. He is the triathlon state champion in the middle distance (2007, 2012, 2013) and he is included in the best list of Austrian triathletes on the Ironman distance .
Career
Daniel Niederreiter comes from Krögn (district of St. Georgen near Salzburg ) and lives in Oberalm . He starts for the pewag racing team of the chain manufacturer pewag .
State champion triathlon middle distance 2007
In September 2011 Daniel Niederreiter became triathlon world champion for amateurs in the middle distance in Las Vegas, after he had won the title of European champion in Wiesbaden only a month earlier.
In September 2012, the Salzburg native won his second national title in the middle distance after 2007 and a fortnight later he was also second in the Ironman distance in Wales.
Vice State Champion Cross Triathlon 2017
In August 2017, the 38-year-old became Vice State Champion Cross-Triathlon in the X-Triathlon (1 km swim, 24 km mountain bike and 9 km run).
