Tjebbe Kaindl (born March 20, 1999 in Wörgl ) is an Austrian triathlete . He is vice-junior world champion in the winter triathlon (2016) and national champion in the triathlon sprint distance (2019).

Career

In September 2015, the then 16-year-old started his first Junior European Cup in Bled (Slovenia) and finished 10th. In February 2016 Tjebbe Kaindl became junior runner-up in the winter triathlon in Zeltweg.

In 2018 he became the junior national champion on the triathlon sprint distance and took third place in the general class. In July 2018 he finished tenth at the European Junior Championships in Tartu (Estonia).

In April 2019, the Tyrolean won the Continental Cup in Rabat at his first Olympic distance. In May 2019, the then 20-year-old Austrian national champion on the triathlon sprint distance in Klosterneuburg. In August 2019, at the age of 20, he made his world cup debut in triathlon and finished 25th.

In August 2020 he finished third at the Austrian state championship on the short distance triathlon.

Tjebbe Kaindl lives in Bad Häring . He starts in the ÖTRV B squad .
