Wolfgang Kattnig (born March 11, 1963 in Absam ) is a former Austrian triathlete and multiple national champion (1988-1994).
Career
When a triathlon world championship was held for the first time in 1989 in Avignon (France) over the short distance, which has been known as the "Olympic Triathlon Distance" since the mid-1990s (1.5 km swimming, 40 km cycling and 10 km running), Wolfgang from Tyrol achieved Kattnig tenth place.
In 1990 he came third at the European Triathlon Championships in Linz.
During his active time, Wolfgang Kattnig became 21 times Austrian duathlon and triathlon champion over various distances.
He has not appeared internationally since 1996. Since the end of his active career, Kattnig has been working as a physiotherapist and osteopath.
