Markus Liebelt (born March 11, 1990 ) is a German triathlete . He is included in the best list of German triathletes on the Ironman distance .

Career

Born in Saxony, Markus Liebelt lives in Rostock and has been active in triathlon since 2007.

In May 2013 and again in 2017 Markus Liebelt won the Linz Triathlon in the middle distance .

At the Ironman Sweden in August 2019, the 29-year-old finished eighth after 8:03:15 hours with his personal best on the Ironman distance (3.86 km swimming, 180.2 km cycling and 42.195 km running) and carried himself with it into the best list of German triathletes on the Ironman distance .
