The Ironman Mexico (also Ironman Cozumel ) is a year since 2009 in November or December held Triathlon -Veranstaltung about the Ironman as distance (3.86 km swim, 180.2 km cycling and 42.195 km running) on the Mexican island of Cozumel .

Ironman Mexico is part of the Ironman World Series of the World Triathlon Corporation . Participants have the opportunity to qualify for a place in the World Championships - the Ironman Hawaii - on this island, located southeast of the Yucatan Peninsula and Cancún .
In 2011, around 2300 athletes were registered for the start of the competition. The course record was improved by the German Sebastian Kienle at the ninth edition in 2017 with his winning time of 7:48:11 h.
The last and eleventh event was here on November 24, 2019. There were new course records on the course thanks to Carrie Lester in the women and Tyler Butterfield in the men.
Routing
- The swimming course in the water of the Caribbean at Chankanaab Park Beach took place on a circuit that had to be swum twice. In the context of the 2017 event, the fast swimming times were striking, which can be attributed to a changed route along the coast that has been favored by the current.
