Kirsty Jahn (born December 12, 1983 in North Vancouver ) is a triathlete from Canada . She is included in the best list of triathletes on the Ironman distance .

Career

Kirsty Jahn grew up in British Columbia and started her first triathlon when she was 10.
From 2009 to 2011 she had to take a break for health reasons. In 2011 she moved to Manhattan and attended Columbia University .

She has been a professional athlete since 2014. In May 2016, she was hit by a truck on her bicycle and seriously injured in the hip. In November she was able to win the Ironman 70.3 Punta del Este (1.9 km swimming, 90 km cycling and 21.1 km running) on half the Ironman distance .

Ironman winner 2018

In May 2018, the 34-year-old won the Ironman Brasil (3.86 km swimming, 180.2 km cycling and 42.195 km running) and only two weeks later she won the second long distance with the Ironman Boulder .
