Michelle Vesterby (born September 26, 1983 ) is a Danish triathlete and multiple Ironman winner (2012-2017).
Career
After swimming for a few years, Michelle Vesterby started triathlon in 2007.
Vice-European Champion Long Distance Triathlon 2011
After a few top ten placements in the European Cup on the short haul, she decided to switch to the long haul in 2011.
In August 2011 she finished second at the European Triathlon Championships on the long distance in Finland. In May 2012 she won the first gold medal on the Ironman distance on Lanzarote. Michelle Vesterby is trained by Luc Van Lierde .
In August 2015 she won the Ironman Copenhagen and in October she was fourth at the Ironman Hawaii (Ironman World Championships).
At the European Championships on the middle distance, she finished fourth in the Challenge Herning in June 2017 . In August the 33-year-old won the Ironman Copenhagen again after 2015 .
Michelle Vesterby lives in Odense with her partner .
