Lauren Bailey Brandon (* 1985 ) is an American triathlete .

Career

Swimming until 2009

Lauren Brandon was a swimmer on the national roster in her youth.

She started her first triathlon in September 2009 and has been a professional since 2011. In 2015 she switched to the longer distances.

Ironman distance since 2016

In March 2016 she started her first Ironman race (3.86 km swimming, 180.2 km cycling and 42.195 km running), but could not finish the race. In July she was able to win the Ironman 70.3 Santa Rosa in California in the middle distance . In September, she finished 15th at the Ironman 70.3 World Championships after finishing the swimming distance as the fastest woman.

In June 2019, the Ironman Boulder won her first Ironman race and she set a new course record with a time of 9:09:09 hours.

Her husband Barrett Brandon is also an active triathlete and they both live in Fort Worth .
