The Ironman Mont-Tremblant is a triathlon sports event held for the first time in August 2012 over the Ironman distance (3.86 km swimming, 180.2 km cycling and 42.195 km running) in Mont-Tremblant in the Canadian province of Québec .

organization

The race, which was held for the first time on August 18, 2012, enables qualification for a starting place (50 slots) at the Ironman World Championship in October, the Ironman Hawaii . Around 2400 athletes were at the start at the first event.

The North American Championships were held here from 2012 to 2014 and in 2015 they switched to Ironman Texas .

The last race took place here on August 18, 2019.

Route

  • The swimming distance is one lap in Tremblant Lake .
  • The bike route is a two-way loop through the forests and mountains of Mont-Tremblant.
  • The running route also goes over two laps and ends again at the lake shore.

Course records

The course records were set here in 2019 by the Australian Carrie Lester in 8:48:26 h (2013) and by the Canadian Cody Beals in 7:58:34 h.
The US-American Haley Chura holds the course record on the swimming distance with 49:22 min (2013).
