Jordan Rapp (born July 28, 1980 in Tarrytown ) is a former duathlete and triathlete from the United States. He is a multiple Ironman winner (2009, 2011, 2012, 2015), world champion in the long distance triathlon (2011) and is included in the best list of American triathletes on the Ironman distance .

Career

Jordan Rapp studied aerospace and mechanical engineering at Princeton University in New Jersey.

Professional triathlete since 2003

He has been a professional triathlete since 2003.

To date, he has won the Ironman distance six times (3.86 km swimming, 180.2 km cycling and 42.195 km running).

Ironman winner 2009

In August 2009 he was able to win his first Ironman race at Ironman Canada. In November 2009 he married his wife Jill . Jordan Rapp starts for the PBN team , his nickname is Rappstar and he is trained by the Dane Michael Kruger .

In March 2010, he sustained serious injuries in a training accident with his bike and then started again in November at Ironman Arizona, where he finished fourth.

World champion triathlon long distance 2011

On the long-distance triathlon he won the world championship title in Nevada in November 2011, almost three minutes ahead of Joseph Gambles, who started for Australia .

In February 2018 he declared his time as a professional athlete over.
