Cyrille Neveu (born February 15, 1973 in Léhon ) is a former French triathlete . He is triathlon world champion (2002) and is included in the best list of French triathletes on the Ironman distance .
Career
Cyrille Neveu was trained by Brett Sutton from 1992 to 1994 . In 2002 he also became national champion in the triathlon middle distance, after he had already finished third in 1996 and 1999 in Gérardmer.
World champion triathlon long distance 2002
In September 2002, Cyrille Neveu became the long-distance triathlon world champion in Nice, after having been runner-up here two years earlier.
Cyrille Neveu started ten times at world championships over the long distance during his playing days.
At the Ironman South Africa he finished second in March 2005. In October he started at the Ironman Hawaii and finished there in 63rd place.
In 2006 he founded an important triathlon event in France with the EDF Alpe d'Huez triathlon.
His son Baptiste Neveu (National Junior Champion Triathlon Middle Distance) is also active as a triathlete.
