Bertrand billiards
Bertrand Billard (born July 8, 1987 in Salmagne) is a French duathlete and triathlete . He is triathlon world champion on the long distance (2013, 2014) and is included in the best list of French triathletes on the Ironman distance .
Career
In 2005 he became French youth champion in triathlon and duathlon.
In June 2011 he won the first two 5150 races (triathlon on the Olympic distance: 1.5 km swimming, 40 km cycling and 10 km running) in Europe.
World champion triathlon long distance 2013
In June 2013 he won the triathlon world championship on the long distance in Belfort, France. Due to the weather, the race was held as a duathlon without the swimming distance (9.5 km running, 87 km cycling and 20 km running). He starts for the Triathl'Aix club .
In April 2014 Billard started for the first time in South Africa on the Ironman distance (3.86 km swimming, 180.2 km cycling and 42.195 km running), but could not finish the race.
World champion triathlon long distance 2014
In September he won the ITU world champion title in China for the second time in the long-distance triathlon.
At the first edition of the Ironman Vichy , he finished second in August 2015. In May 2017, the 29-year-old won the Ironman 70.3 Pays d'Aix France for the third time .
