Sylvain Sudrie (born March 6, 1982 in Bordeaux ) is a French triathlete . He is two-time world champion in the ITU long distance (2010, 2016) and vice world champion (2009, 2014).

Career

Sylvain Sudrie started triathlon in 1997 at the age of 16 and in October 2009 he was runner-up in the long distance world championship after swimming 3 km, cycling 80 km and running 20 km in Perth.

In 2009 he became French champion in the long distance triathlon.

World Champion Long Distance Triathlon 2010

In August 2010 he became world champion in the long distance in Immenstadt (4 km swimming, 130 km cycling and 30 km running).

In November 2011 he was third at the world championship on the long distance. From 2011 to 2014 he won the title of French champion in the triathlon middle distance four times in a row.

In September 2014 he was able to achieve his fourth victory at the Triathlon de Gérardmer in the Vosges in the middle distance . Just two weeks later, after 2009 in China, he was again runner-up in the long-distance triathlon.

World champion triathlon long distance 2016

In September 2016, after 2010, he won the title of the World Triathlon Long Distance Championship for the second time.

In 2017, the then 35-year-old finished fifth at the World Triathlon Long Distance Championship in Canada in August (46 km swimming, 1206 km cycling and 306 km running).

His nicknames are Susu or Sudre . Sylvain Sudrie starts for the Club Beauvais Triathlon .
