Magali Tisseyre (born October 27, 1981 in Montreal ) is a Canadian duathlete and triathlete . She is the duathlon world champion in the age group 20–24 (2005).

Career

In 2004 Magali Tisseyre became Canadian university champion in triathlon. In 2005 she became duathlon world champion in the 20-24 age group. Her nickname is Mags .

Triathlon professional since 2009

Since 2008 she has been competing in the triathlon on the Ironman half-distance (1.9 km swimming, 90 km cycling and 21.1 km running) and since 2009 as a professional. In 2009 she was third in the Ironman 70.3 World Championship in Florida and she was named "Ironman 70.3 Triathlete of the Year".

She was able to repeat this success again in November 2010 and in 2015 she came fourth in the Ironman 70.3 World Championship in Austria .

First Ironman medal 2017

In December 2017, the then 36-year-old won her first medal in an Ironman race with third place at the first Ironman Mar del Plata .
