The Ironman 70.3 Timberman is an annual triathlon sporting event of the Ironman 70.3 series from 2001 to 2016 in New England (New England, North America).
Worldwide, the World Triathlon Corporation (WTC for short) awards over twenty races annually over a distance of 1.9 km swimming, 90 km cycling and 21.1 km running. The name is derived from the total distance of 113 km or 70.3 miles for one.
In 2010, the triathlon over the middle distance in Gilford (New Hampshire) in the United States was held for the tenth time. British rider Chrissie Wellington achieved her fourth win in a row in 2011 and American Andy Potts scored his fourth win here in 2013.
In 2014 there were around 1,800 athletes at the start - 561 of them women. The 15th edition took place here on August 16, 2015 and Andy Potts was able to successfully defend his title here and win it for the fifth time.
The last event here was in 2016 and no event was announced for 2017.
