Catriona Morrison (born January 11, 1977 in Glasgow ) is a former British duathlete and triathlete . She is a two-time ITU world champion in the short distance (2006, 2010), long distance (2007, 2008), two-time European duathlon champion (2007, 2009), two-time Ironman winner (2010, 2011) and is included in the best list of British triathletes the Ironman distance .
Career
In August 2002, Catriona Morrison started at the Commonwealth Games 2002 in Manchester for Scotland in the triathlon and finished 13th.
World Champion Duathlon Short Distance 2006
In 2006, the then 29-year-old became Duathlon World Champion in Canada on the short distance.
In 2009 she set a new world record for her debut in Roth at her first start on the Ironman or long distance (3.86 km swimming, 180.2 km cycling and 42.195 km running) and achieved third place after 8:48:11 h . Her nickname is Cat .
Ironman 2010 winner
In May 2010 she won the Ironman in Lanzarote. A year later, in May 2011, she won her second Ironman race, Ironman Texas .
In January 2015, Morrison declared her professional career over two days after her 38th birthday. She lives in Broxburn .
