Felicity Sheedy-Ryan (born February 12, 1985 in Perth ) is an Australian triathlete . She is U23 Oceania champion (2008), member of the Australian World Cup series team and two-time duathlon world champion (2012, 2017).
Athletic career
Triathlon professional since 2002
Sheedy-Ryan started her national career as a member of the UWA (University of Western Australia) Triathlon Club and belongs to the WA (Western Australian) Institute of Sport and since 2002 she has started as a triathlon professional.
In March 2008 she became Oceanic Triathlon Champion U23. In 2010 she finished third at the Duathlon World Championship in Scotland.
In May 2011, she also competed in a triathlon middle distance for the first time and won the silver medal at Ironman 70.3 Busselton (half Ironman distance: 1.9 km swimming, 90 km cycling and 21.1 km running). In France, Sheedy-Ryan started in the French club championship series Lyonnaise des Eaux for the club Stade Poitevin Tri and was 14th in Dunkirk (May 22, 2011) and tenth in Paris (July 9, 2011) - she was there best of their club.
Duathlon world champion 2012
In September 2012 Sheedy-Ryan became Duathlon World Champion on the short distance in Nancy, France. In February 2015 she was third in the state championship on the short distance triathlon.
Duathlon world champion 2017
In Canada, the then 32-year-old became the duathlon world champion on the short distance for the second time in August 2017, five years after her success in 2012. In July 2018 she finished fourth at the World Cup.
Sheedy-Ryan lives in Wembley, a suburb of Perth, and in France during the Australian winter. Your coach is Grant Landers .
