Vendula Frintová (born September 4, 1983 in Náchod ) is a Czech duathlete and triathlete . She is a two-time Olympian (2008, 2016), European Duathlon Champion (2005) and Duathlon World Champion (2009).

Career

Frintová is a multiple Czech triathlon champion in various categories such as B. State champion of 2006 and 2007 as well as winner of the Czech championship series in 2009 and gold medal winner of the World Cup in Mooloolaba 2010.

European Duathlon Champion 2005

In 2004 and 2005 she was triathlon vice world champion U23. In 2005 she became European champion in the duathlon. At the Summer Olympics, she finished 23rd in Beijing in August 2008.

2008 Summer Olympics

At the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, she finished 23rd.

World Champion Duathlon 2009

In 2009 she became Duathlon World Champion. In the eight years from 2002 to 2009, Vendula Frintová took part in 75 ITU competitions and secured 37 top ten placements, including five gold medals.

In the Czech Republic, Vendula Frintová starts for Ekol Elite Triathlon Team, in France and Germany she will again take part in competition series as an elite legionnaire in 2010, namely for the Krefeld Kanu Klub in the German Bundesliga and for TCG 79 Parthenay in the French club championship series Lyonnaise des eaux . In the opening triathlon of this French Grand Prix de Triathlon in Dunkirk, Frintová was 17th, in the second triathlon in Beauvais 26th, so she was both times among the three triathlètes classants l'équipe whose places are used for the club ranking.

In June 2011 she was European triathlon champion on the Olympic short distance and in April 2012 she finished fifth at the European Triathlon Championship.

She finished the 2015 World Championship racing series in 21st place.

2016 Summer Olympics

In May 2016 she finished fourth at the European Triathlon Championships on the Olympic distance.
Vendula Frintová took 27th place for the Czech Republic at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro on August 20. In the 2016 ITU annual ranking, she came twelfth as the best Czech woman.

In the first race of the 2017 world championship series, she finished twelfth in March in Abu Dhabi. As in the previous year, she finished fourth at the European Triathlon Championship in Kitzbühel in June. A week later, the 33-year-old was third in the European championship on the sprint distance in Düsseldorf.

Vendula Frintová studied anthropology and genetics at Charles University in Prague and lives in her native Náchod.
