Dubrow is a district of the municipality of Müllrose southeast of Berlin in the Oder-Spree district in Brandenburg .

geography

Community structure

Dubrow has been a district northwest of Müllrose since 1974 . The name is probably of Slavic origin , dub = oak, an old field name, which means "Eichenau" , seems to confirm this assumption. It appears for the first time in 1438 in documents of the Carthusian monastery in Frankfurt (Oder) : "vsz wente an den dobbrow" . In 1464 there was talk of "the Duberow uf den grůnenberg" , but also "an den doberaw" . "Ann this place, on the Dubero, on the Mülrosischen wege vnd gräntze" describes the place in 1606, around 1775 the spelling "Duberow" can be found again.

history

Announcement for sale 1832

Since 1588 there are documented mentions of the Dubrow Vorwerk , on which the von Burgsdorff run a sheep farm . In 1701 there were 8 knight's hooves on the Vorwerk, which were considerably expanded in the following years, in 1749 500 sheep and other cattle graze on the estate, which consists of 840 acres (Mg) 165 square rods (QR) arable land , 60 Mg 75 QR Meadow and 3 mg 89 QR garden land.

When the Dubrow colony was founded in 1766 , initially only one of the planned eight positions, this two acres of land, could be filled. The estate is 1058 mg, 20 QR, the colonists only own 5 acres in total. From 1783 to 1832 the Dubrow plant was subordinate to the Biegen office . The settlement consists of only a few colonists , in 1801 6 Büdner and one boatman lived in the colony , in the Vorwerk there are three campfire sites in addition to three lodges . In 1832 the tax authorities sold the Vorwerk with 1249 Mg and 85 QR (measurement from 1822) and remained in his possession until 1852 after the acquisition by the bailiff and practical farmer Fischer .

In the following years the place remained very small, the number of inhabitants fluctuated strongly, in 1875 86, (1890) 121 people lived in Dubrow. In 1900 there were 7 houses in the colony and 6 houses in the Vorwerk, ten years later the statistics counted a total of 83 inhabitants. Due to its location, it was mainly used for agriculture and forestry. The children went to school in Müllrose, but the registry office was in Biegenbrück .

A Ju 52 crashed in Dubrow on January 30, 1945, followed by a "Rata" crash in the spring of 1945 .

The place remains small, the houses in the village center were demolished after the Second World War , and today there is a meadow in their place. The few remaining residents founded an LPG in 1959 , which was affiliated to Müllrose in 1971, at which time 108 people lived in Dubrow.

Due to its size, the place was incorporated into Müllrose in 1974. Until the withdrawal of the Soviet armed forces in the early 1990s, there was an extensive area of barracks in the forest area of the village, which stretched as far as Biegen . Today only a few ruins of buildings and remains of ammunition testify to the past of the forest area, since in 1998 the Brandenburg State Agency for Structure and Labor (LASA) used measures by the ABM and SAM to return the areas to civilian use.

  10. Note: personal conversation with a contemporary witness who lived in Dubrow before 1945. The former owner of the property and the original buildings were also known to him. According to him, the demolished houses corresponded in their design to the still existing Distelhof. Remnants of field stone testify to this former development.
