The Brandenburger Oberschule has been a German school type similar to the regional school since 2005 . It is an integrated comprehensive school without a grammar school upper level and includes grades 7 to 10.

history

The name is linked to the term Polytechnische Oberschule (POS) in the GDR . By 2005, all secondary schools and comprehensive schools without upper secondary school levels in Brandenburg were converted into high schools. The type of secondary school did not exist in Brandenburg before.

Organizationally, a distinction is made between cooperative, integrative and cooperative-integrative schools.

As a qualification, depending on the average grade and other criteria, the advanced vocational qualification , the technical college entrance qualification as well as the technical college entrance qualification with entitlement to attend the upper level of the gymnasium can be acquired.
