Ulrike Schwalbe (born November 14, 1978 in Jena ) is a German duathlete and triathlete . She is Duathlon World Champion (2004), Vice World Champion (2005), Duathlon European Champion (2005) and multiple German Champion (1998, 2007, 2008, 2010 and 2011).
Career
In 1998 the 19-year-old won the title of German Junior Champion in the Duathlon on the short distance (10 km first run, 40 km cycling and 5 km second run).
World Champion Duathlon Long Distance 2004
In the Danish city of Fredericia, the sports student became the duathlon world champion in the long distance for the professional women (elite) in 2004 and was runner-up in the following year. In 2005 she was also the European Duathlon Champion in the Powerman racing series.
In 2009 Ulrike Schwalbe reached third place at the Powerman Duathlon European Championship in Horst aan de Maas and in 2010 she became Vice European Champion.
German champion duathlon long distance 2011
In May 2011 she became German champion in the long distance duathlon for the fourth time in Falkenstein.
In 2012, the strong time trial athlete also competed in bike races for RV Central Rhede .
In April 2018, the 39-year-old was third in the German championship on the Duathlon short distance in Alsdorf.
Ulrike Schwalbe has been married since August 2013. She lives in Kulmbach and starts for CLV Megware .
