Eva Nyström (born December 25, 1977 in Piteå ) is a Swedish duathlete and triathlete . She is vice world champion winter triathlon (2006) and two-time duathlon world champion on the long distance (2012, 2013).

Career

Eva Nyström has been a professional athlete since 2003. She is a seven-time Swedish duathlon and triathlon champion and holds the current Swedish record on the Ironman distance.

Vice-World Champion Winter Triathlon 2006

In 2006 she became vice world champion winter triathlon and in 2007 she was second at the winter triathlon European championships in Liechtenstein.

In 2007, 2008 and 2011 Nyström became Duathlon Vice World Champion on the long distance in Switzerland. In April 2012 she was second in the Duathlon at the Powerman European Championships on the long distance and in April 2013 she was able to repeat this.

World Champion Duathlon Long Distance 2012

In Zofingen she became Duathlon World Champion in September 2012 and was able to repeat this success on the long distance in 2013. In 2014 she was runner-up behind the British Emma Pooley .

In October 2014 she finished fourth at the European Championships in the triathlon middle distance on Mallorca.

National Champion Duathlon 2015

In 2015 she became Swedish duathlon champion. Nyström lives in Mölndal .

In September 2017, as in the previous year, she was able to win the swim & run race Ö till Ö together with the Australian Adriel Young in the mixed team .
