Sjusjøen is a Norwegian winter sports center in the municipality of Ringsaker in the province of Innlandet . The place is named after the lake of the same name east of the town center. In recent years, the place has been characterized by a strong expansion of holiday homes and has grown significantly as a result. Around 6000 of the 7251 holiday homes and apartments in Ringsaker municipality are located in Sjusjøen.

Geographical location
The village is located at an altitude of around 810 meters, almost 20 kilometers northeast of Lillehammer in the middle of the high fjell landscape between Gudbrandsdalen to the west and Østerdalen in the east. The lake is located on the eastern edge of the village. The best way to get to Sjusjøen from Lillehammer is via Nordseter in the neighboring municipality of Lillehammer. From here there is a cross connection to Fylkesvei 2 .

The area in and around Sjusjøen is very scenic. It offers a lot to holidaymakers who are enthusiastic about winter sports. An extensive network of trails connects the village with the neighboring areas. The connected network of trails is more than 3,500 km. There are two cross-country skiing stadiums available, both of which are suitable for races on an international level. The Natrudstilen-Arena is the scene of the races of the world's elite of cross-country skiing. It is used for training camps and competitions.
In addition to the cross-country ski trails, there is also a small alpine ski center, the Sjusjøen ski center , which is also located on Natrudstilen. It offers 4 ski lifts and 8 slopes, the longest of which is 2.2 km long downhill slope with a height difference of 250 m. There is also a freely accessible exit for children and the Sjusjøparken, with rails, jumps and runs, specifically for snowboarding and twin tips are suitable. Larger alpine ski areas are primarily the Olympic slopes in Hafjell and Kvitfjell .
