Rasmus Henning (born November 13, 1975 in Copenhagen ) is a former Danish triathlete and two-time Olympic athlete (2004, 2008).

Career

Henning started triathlon in 1998 and in April 2004 he became the European triathlon champion on the short distance.

In August 2001 he was runner-up in the long-distance triathlon.

Rasmus Henning started in 2004 (7th place) and 2008 (8th place) for Denmark at the Olympic Games.

In 2008 Rasmus Henning switched from the short to the long distance and in 2009 he became the European triathlon champion on the long distance. In September 2012 he announced his resignation and announced that he wanted to contest his last race as a professional triathlete at the Ironman Hawaii. Today Henning works as a trainer.

Rasmus Henning lives in Farum with his wife and their two daughters .
