Eric Van der Linden
Eric Van der Linden (born April 17, 1974 in Schagen ) is a former Belgian triathlete and Olympian (2000).
Career
Eric Van der Linden has been a professional triathlete since 1996 and started in Sydney in 2000 at the Olympic Games.
In 2000 and 2001 he became Belgian triathlon state champion and finished third in the European Triathlon Championships in both years.
During his active time he was able to win the Alpine Triathlon on the Schliersee four times .
In 2002 he announced his retirement from professional sport, but returned the following year. His last international start was in 2004. Today he is active as a trainer. He trained z. B. the Dutch athlete Rachel Klamer .
