Matthias Klumpp (born August 8, 1968 in Reutlingen ) is a former German triathlete . He is European champion on the long distance triathlon (1995) and is included in the best list of German triathletes on the Ironman distance .

Career

Klumpp specialized in the long distance triathlon at an early age and in 1995 was the first German to win the European title. After him, Markus Fachbach was able to win the title again for a German athlete in 2014.

Matthias Klumpp won the Ostseeman three times and started for TSG Reutlingen. Klump took part in Ironman Hawaii ten times and his best placement is tenth in 1996.

Today he works in marketing at a food manufacturer in the Swabian Alb .
