Heather Jackson (born April 24, 1984 in New Hampshire ) is an American triathlete . She is a five-time Ironman winner (2015-2019) and came second at the Ironman 70.3 World Championships in 2013.

Career

Ice hockey until 2006

Heather Jackson was active as an ice hockey player until 2006 when she switched to triathlon.

Long distance triathlon since 2007

In 2008 she won her age group 18-24 at the Ironman Hawaii (3.86 km swimming, 180.2 km cycling and 42.195 km running). Since July 2009 she has started as a professional athlete. In September 2013, she finished second at the Ironman 70.3 World Championship in Las Vegas, after finishing third here the previous year.

In June 2015 she won the Ironman Coeur d'Alene . In October, she finished fifth at the Ironman World Championship in Hawaii.

Third Ironman World Championship 2016

In July 2016 she won her second Ironman victory at Ironman USA and improved the course record to 9:09:42 hours. She is trained by Joseph Gambles . In October she finished third at the Ironman Hawaii.

In October 2017, she missed the podium and finished fourth at the Ironman Hawaii.

In July 2018, she was able to win the Ironman USA again after 2016 in Lake Placid and thus get her third Ironman victory.

Jackson lives in Carlsbad with her fiancé .
