Peter Reid (born May 27, 1969 in Montreal , Québec ) is a former Canadian triathlete and three-time Ironman Hawaii winner (1998, 2000, 2003).

Career

In 1995 he was third in Nice at the world championship on the long distance. Peter Reid soon specialized in long-distance races in triathlon ( Ironman distance: 3.86 km swimming, 180.2 km cycling and 42.195 km running).
Between 1997 and 2003 he won ten Ironman races, three of which were the Ironman World Championship in Hawaii (1998, 2000 and 2003).

Peter Reid was married to triathlete Lori Bowden , with whom he scored a double victory in Hawaii in 2003.

Reid ended his career as a professional athlete in May 2006 and lives with his partner Malaika Uli in Victoria on Vancouver Island in British Columbia (Canada).
