Leon Griffin (born July 16, 1980 ) is a retired Australian duathlete and triathlete . He is ITU world champion in the short distance duathlon (2006).

Career

Leon Griffin was active as a footballer in his youth and started triathlon at the age of 16.

In 2006, in his first season as a professional, Leon Griffin in Canada, which was still little known, surprisingly became the duathlon world champion on the short distance.

He has been starting for the Timex Multisport Team since February 2016 - mainly on the triathlon medium and long distance.

Leon Griffin was trained by Jonathan Hall . His nicknames are "Griffo", "Griff" or "Mudguts". He has not appeared internationally since 2017.
