Jarrod Shoemaker (born July 17, 1982 ) is a retired American duathlete and triathlete . He is U23 world champion in triathlon (2005) and duathlon world champion in the short distance (2009).
Career
Shoemaker has been a professional triathlete since 2004 and his younger sister Jenna (* 1984) was also a professional triathlete. In September 2005 he became the U23 triathlon world champion.
2008 Summer Olympics
At the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, he finished 18th.
Duathlon world champion short distance 2009
In 2009 he was elected Duathlon World Champion and in the USA "Triathlete of the Year".
For his achievements, Jarrod Shoemaker was again voted "Triathlete of the Year" in the United States in 2013. Jarrod Shoemaker was a member of the US national team and is married to triathlete Alicia Kaye .
In November 2016 he finished 23rd in his first start on the long distance at Ironman Mexico . He has not appeared internationally since 2017
He works as a coach and looks after B. the triathlete Erin Storie .
