Victor Manuel Del Corral Morales (born May 13, 1980 in Barcelona ) is a Basque duathlete , triathlete , European cross-triathlon champion (2011, 2012) and Ironman winner (2012, 2013, 2016). He is included in the best list of Spanish triathletes on the Ironman distance .

Career

Victor Del Corral Morales grew up in Barcelona and in his youth he was active on mountain bikes with his two brothers Jose Luis and Phily . He was multiple junior national champion and in 2002 he started his first duathlon.

In 2009 he started the long-distance triathlon for the first time in Andalusia and finished fourth.

Triathlon professional since 2010

2010 was the 30-year-old's first year as a professional triathlete and Victor Manuel Del Corral Morales became vice European champion in the short distance duathlon.

European Cross Triathlon Champion 2011 and 2012

In 2011 he was able to successfully defend this success and in July he became European champion in cross triathlon. He became national champion for the second time in 2010.

Vice-World Champion Duathlon 2011

In September of the same year he also took third place at the world championship on the short distance duathlon. In February 2012 the winner was then disqualified and Del Corral Morales was ranked second. In May 2012 he took his first victory in an Ironman race on Lanzarote. In July he was again cross-triathlon European champion after his success the previous year.
In November 2013, he won his fifth long-distance triathlon victory in Arizona (3.86 km swimming, 180.2 km cycling and 42.195 km running).

In June 2016 he clinched his fourth victory in an Ironman race at Ironman France - his winning time of 8:30:00 h was exactly the same as that of the previous year, when he finished second here.

He is married and lives in Barcelona with his wife and son.
