Luke Bell (born April 21, 1979 in Portland ) is a triathlete from Australia and Ironman winner (2013). He is on the best list of Australian triathletes on the Ironman distance .

Career

Luke Bell competed in his first triathlon when he was 17. In his first year as a professional athlete, the 24-year-old finished fifth at the Ironman Hawaii in October 2003.His
nicknames are Lukey or Bellie and he is trained by Paul Huddle , the husband of the multiple winner of Ironman Hawaii , Paula Newby-Fraser .

Since the beginning of 2015 he starts for the newly founded Bahrain Elite Endurance Triathlon Team , which is led by Chris McCormack .

Luke Bell lives in Melbourne .
